As a LegalMatch Team Leader, Jason Hudgins is a soaring talent whose personal transformational powers have touched his colleagues as well as the many attorneys he's enrolled into LegalMatch as members the past few years. According to Hudgins, “The last time my team chose to do this, we gave the gift of time to a fellow associate." On that occasion the entire Hudgins Team donated one hour of their work day to help fellow associate Ray Whelan so that Ray could then go out and help others in his own community.
"It’s my philosophy", said Hudgins, "that the universe is completely connected. There are reasons why what seems like miracles happen. Even when just one individual is a part of making the contribution, to a cause, people’s lives are changed on both sides of the contribution. This time I wanted my team involved in a project outside of LegalMatch because there are so many good and important causes out there. We wanted to find one good cause that could use the help of just a few. I know first hand, that positive things come back to you in a much bigger way when you give a little something back”.
This year, the Hudgins Team has chosen to move their efforts off site and do a little work at the Walden House.
For the past 31 years, Walden House has engaged in, healing, teaching, training, housing, clothing and feeding people with alcohol dependency and other drug addictions in San Francisco and throughout California. Often the people treated are the most difficult to reach: the mentally ill, people with AIDS, emotionally disturbed and abused adolescents, the socio-economically deprived and the homeless. Walden House has evolved into a national leader in developing strategies to help addicts recover and maintain their lives.

As we view the things that really matter day to day in life – it sometimes becomes abundantly clear - "Only by giving back can we appreciate the things we have" (Sue Hammer).
As you view these photos keep in mind...we really had a great time doing this.
