Here in the UK we also have some serious doubts as to whether the care of the elderly is really that important. I lost my grandmother nearly 20 years ago as the result of gross negligence in a nursing home. She fell from her bed, broke her hip and was then made to walk for 2 days before medical help was sought. 2 days - think about it. I now work for a law firm who have a specialist unit set up purely to deal with elder abuse - we want those accountable to be brought to task. We also work closely with the charity Counsel and Care.org and offer advice from the outset. www.nursinghomeabuse.co.uk

Nursing negligence compensation claims may not only be applicable to you as a patient. If you have a child that has suffered an injury due to a lack of care, or an elderly relative in a nursing home who has suffered a physical or psychological trauma as a result of nursing negligence, you should be entitled to make a nursing negligence compensation claim.
