LegalMatch: 6th Annual Existing Industry Awards Nominee

On October 24^th, businesses big and small gathered in Reno, NV for the 6^th annual Existing Industry Awards from the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN).

We are excited to say that LegalMatch was nominated for the Company of the Year – Small, award! While we did not win this year, instead Gyford Productions LLC took the prize, we at LegalMatch are excited to be nominated for the award.

EDAWN is an organization that encourages business growth in Reno, Sparks, and Tahoe (Western Nevada). It was founded in 1982, and since then it’s focus has been on creating higher paying jobs, promote technological process, and financially supporting community and charitable causes.

We are honored to be recognized for our impact in Western Nevada, and hope to be back next year!

Meet LegalMatch - Alexis Watts

Alexis Watts is a 2014 graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School and a licensed attorney in California. She specializes in criminal law and enjoys writing about many other legal issues. She is originally from Seattle, Washington and studied archaeology as an undergraduate at the University of Washington. She is also a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Mali, West Africa.

Meet LegalMatch - Sarah K. Lee

Sarah K. Lee obtained her bachelors from The George Washington University, double majoring in political science and psychology. She went on to work in real estate compliance law in Washington, D.C. for several years before returning to school to obtain her J.D. from the University Of San Francisco School Of Law. During her time in law school, Sarah served as a law clerk at various firms focusing on civil rights, family law and personal injury.

Since joining LegalMatch, Sarah contributes to the LegalMatch law blog while working as a compliance analyst at Funding Circle.
